Description
Radiator Thermostats T3019-Thera-6
Compact thermostatic head with closed design and high energy efficiency
APPLICATION
Thermostatic radiator heads are self-acting controllers that regulate the flow of hot water through thermostatic radiator valves to continuously control the room temperature up to the set point selected on the head. Thera-6 is a compact head with an elegant design, energy efficiency and durability, making it the ideal choice for residential heating applications.

HOW IT WORKS
The thermal expansion element responds to the room temperature by expanding or contracting proportionally. The movement is transmitted to the thermostatic valve stem, on which the head is mounted. The head thus controls the amount of water flowing into the heat exchanger up to the flow rate required to maintain the room temperature set on the thermostat. The temperature setpoint can be selected by turning the handle, which changes the position of a non-return valve for the thermal expansion element. In case of high ambient temperatures and closed flap, the expansion of the sensor is absorbed by the overtravel protection spring, protecting the valve and sensor from excessive force
INSTALLATION GUIDELINES
Installation requirements
• Mount the thermostat to the radiator valve with a torque of approximately 10 Nm
• For heads with integrated sensor, horizontal orientation is recommended. Heads with integrated sensor should not be covered by curtains, hidden under a windowsill or in a narrow niche, which would prevent them from sensing the temperature in the room they are supposed to control
• Thera-6 heads with standard connection are compatible with all MNG, Honeywell and Honeywell Home thermostatic valves, as well as Braukmann V100 thermostatic valves with M30x1.5 connection
• When mounting the DA type head on a Danfoss RA valve, pull the coupling nut towards the head, snap the head socket into the valve groove and carefully screw the nut onto the socket thread. Then tighten the nut
• Standard connection heads can be mounted on thermostatic valves with M30x1.5 threaded connection from other manufacturers, including Heimeier, Oventrop or Rossweiner. However, as the closing dimension (height of the valve stem when the valve is closed) varies slightly between manufacturers, the temperature at which the head will adjust may be shifted by a few degrees. Thera-6 heads have an interface at a different depth for Braukmann V100 valves with a ų3mm shaft. Therefore, valves from other manufacturers with a shaft diameter smaller than ų4mm are not suitable for use with the Thera-6, as the valve shaft will sink into the second interface depth of the head.
• When installing heads with remote sensors, handle the capillary with care to avoid damage to its soldered connections and avoid sharp bends in the capillary that would obstruct the free movement of the expansion liquid.
